Manish Vyas is a unique phenomenon in the world of bhakti music. A talented vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and singer, who has established himself as both an extraordinary performer on stage and recording.
Growing up in Gujarat, India, in a family passionate about Indian music; from classical to kirtan, including mantra, sufi and folk. Music is simply in his blood.
Aware of his talent from a very young age, his mother introduced him to Tabla at the age of nine. A few years of basic instruction took him to the feet of maestro Ustad Allarakha, in Mumbai, where his training continued for further years. During this period, he was also exposed to the world and fusion genre, performing with musicians from around the world at Osho Commune in Pune. This continuous experimentation has broadened his musical horizons beyond the traditional form of Indian music. A new passion for melody led him to also choose the Santoor, a 100-stringed instrument from Kashmir, and from there he used all these elements together, composing, singing, playing the harmonium , tabla, Santoor and keyboard.
His involvement in an international atmosphere, in addition to his talent and versatility, ultimately brought Manish to the international spotlight. First with his group with Prem Joshua, Hamsafar then with him a successful fusion duo, East West Alchemy. Together they share a musical partnership of over 15 years and tour extensively in Europe, USA, India, Israel, Singapore, etc.
